I already talked about Magento Commerce some times ago, and the latest version is out. Magento is one of the best Open Source eCommerce software I’ve ever seen and latest version adds some very usefull features such as bundles and Virtual products. Virtual products will enable you to skip the delivery options.
Personalized products are also available and will allow you to sell products with specific options.
Magento 1.1 features a new Webservices API that enables you to integrate with third parts applications.
I’m happy to see that magento is very well accepted because the software has already been downloaded more than 400.000 times and they recently received the Best New Open Source project award as the 2008 SourceForge.net Community Choice Awards

If you a re a blog owner, you might want to place some ads and get some money out of it, Performancing which is a famous blog to enhance your blog’s success started a new Ads marketplace. If you have 125×125 ads zone on your blog, you might want to check out their system as it’s weekly revenue based and allow you to exchange banners if you want to.
I signed up to their service and the control panel is very efficient, ads are well chosen and you can filter ads you don’t want to display based on text filters.

As everyone know now, Wordpress 2.6 is Google Gears Ready.
In fact, Google gears is a product you can install on your computer to “cache” files onto you computer and simulate they are located on the internet. Meaning that any file cached through Gears will not be downloaded from the net, but directly from your computer, therefore, they are loaded nearly instantly.
How does it work ?
First, you have to install google gears, to do so, just go to gears.google.com and click on the install button, as shown below:

Once this is done, just go to the whole process, in the end, you’ll have to restart your browser so that it’s properly installed.

Today, after reading this interresting post at Smashing magazine (which by the way is a great source of inspiration to me), I decided to give my sidebar a little bit more space.
And this is not the only modification I made, I also removed the Per hour theme, because it didn’t look equally conceived. So for now, there will only be one state, white background.

Since the creation of my plugins, one of the missing thing was the lack of documentation. I always thought that my plugins where easy to use and self-explanatory.
But yesterday, Emmanuel Georjon pointed out to me that the documentation was really missing for ZdMultilang.
So I took time to finish writing it and it’s now included into the plugin page so that you can now install and use it easily.
I would like to thank him because of the more than usefull feedback he gave me on this plugin and of course, most of improvements you’ll see in next version are taken from his comments.
So, do not hesitate to leave comments on the plugin so that I can improve it and make it the best companion for Multilingual Wordpress ;)
