I learned recently that Wikimedia, the foundation that is making Wikipedia, is on the road to migrate their servers to a single Linux Distribution. Until then, they are using various flavors of Linux Redhat and Fedora.
They said that this move will will allow to simplify their system administration.

This is now official, Nautilus will allow tab navigation for its next release. This is was one of the most missing feature in Nautilus compared to its major competitor, konqueror.
This new release will be included for next Gnome release, which will be 2.24 and will be included with most distributions, including Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex.

Et voila, ce week-end ayant l’occasion d’acheter mon nouveau portable (Acer Aspire 5715-4713), j’ai décidé de passer directement à la nouvelle Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (n’ayant aucune données à perdre, je n’avais rien à craindre).

L’installation s’est plutôt bien passée, mis à part que j’ai fait sauter une partition de données involontairement… ce n’est pas la faute de l’installeur, je tiens à le préciser, mais plutôt celle de ma précipitation à vouloir installer [...]
